I'm interested in novel innovations in arachnids and how those came to evolve. I have been researching the genetic mechanisms behind patterning tarsomeres in daddy-longlegs.

Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree in iBio?
After taking Dr. Sharma’s class and lab (Zoology 300/301), I began working as a laboratory/research technician in his lab. I got to learn and practice many molecular techniques and learn all about invertebrates and their development and evolution. My favorite subject has always been biology and I had always been amazed to learn about the many genetic tools being used in research, so being able to see those in practice and use some of them myself inspired me to pursue a graduate degree in the Integrative Biology program.
Fun fact about yourself
