My research is on a copepod species that has shown invasive potential from saltwater to freshwater environments. I’m interested in understanding the evolutionary mechanisms of these invasions to predict how this copepod species will fare in the face of climate change.
Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree in iBio?
I decided to pursue a degree in iBio to continue doing the research that I find interesting.
Why or what do you love about the program?
I love how friendly and collaborative everyone in the program is! Whenever I need help with anything, people are always ready to point me in the right direction.
Future Plans: In the future, I would like to conduct environmental research for a lab in the government (EPA, NOAA, USDA, etc.)
Fun Fact: I enjoy rock climbing (both in and outdoors).
Educational Background: I got my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University.
