I study earthworm evolution, systematics and taxonomy in the Caribbean Islands. My research focusses on evolution and genomics of large size earthworms in Puerto Rico and species diversity and taxonomy.

Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree in iBio?
It allowed me to pursue my ideal dissertation project, combining classical taxonomy and morphology with cutting edge genomics and systematics.
Why or what do you love about the program?
The graduate student community and overall collaborative atmosphere.
Future Plans: I hope to come back home in Puerto Rico and work as a research professor.
Fun Fact: I love sketching and painting.
