My dissertation research broadly seeks to determine how future climate change predictions, mainly extreme precipitation events, interact with fire and land use history to alter seed survival.

Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree in iBio?

I had no idea this was a career option until I volunteered to do fieldwork as an undergrad for extra credit.

Why or what do you love about the program?

The flexibility to choose your own classes and the support from various departments.

Fun Fact: I was a producer and photo assistant for commercial and advertising campaigns for over a decade before returning to academia.
