UW Field Study in Iceland

Dr. Sharon Thoma, Teaching Professor in iBio, is offering a Field Study course in Iceland. In this exciting course, students will spend the majority of the program outdoors in the elements, on varied terrain, exploring Southwestern Iceland’s natural beauty while learning about tundra ecology, climate change, genetic testing, geothermal energy, and how research projects are designed and carried out. This course takes place for one week online, followed by two weeks in Iceland. Students can apply for enrollment through Study Abroad.
