On October 12th, the Integrative Biology Department hosted iBio at Work: Biotechnology in collaboration with SuccessWorks, the College of Letters & Science center for personal and professional development. At this event, UW-Madison Integrative Biology alumni working in biotechnology shared their career stories and advice through a 90-minute moderated panel. As part of the panel, students had the opportunity to ask questions and connect with the alumni in breakout rooms.

The event was a huge success! With 33 students and 8 amazing alumni, it was the highest student turnout SuccessWorks has had this fall for its virtual event series. The speakers ranged from May 2022 Neurobiology graduates to seasoned graduates who have started their own companies and are well established in the industry. This breadth of alumni allowed students to get a broad range of advice and information for all stages of a biotechnology career.
