New article on the genome of daddy long legs

Congrats to iBio’s Guilherme Gainnet for his new published paper! In a collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution in DC, Guilherme published the first harvestman (daddy long legs) genome and used gene silencing experiments to discover how these animals make their long legs.

It’s been getting a lot of attention. The story has been picked up in New Scientist, Science, and The Atlantic so far. So if you haven’t seen this article you’re going to want to check it out.
